Terms and Conditions – Bella Trinidad

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to every reservation made on bellatrinidad.com for Bella Trinidad, a casa particular at Lino Pérez 224, Trinidad, Cuba (“we”, “us”). By completing a booking you confirm that you have read and accept them. Last updated: October 16, 2026.

1. Reservations and payment

• A booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation e-mail with a booking number.
• The total price, including the guest tax and any extras, is shown before you pay. Full payment is charged at the time of booking through our secure payment providers (Stripe or PayPal). We never see or store your full card number.
• Your bank may charge currency conversion or foreign transaction fees; these are not set by us.
• The person who books must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all guests in the reservation.

2. Check-in and check-out

• Check-in and check-out times are shown in your booking confirmation. Early check-in or late check-out depends on availability – please ask us in advance.
• Please bring a valid passport. Cuban law requires us to register every guest.

3. Cancellations, changes and no-shows

• All times refer to local time in Trinidad, Cuba.
• Cancellation at least 24 hours before the check-in date: full refund.
• Cancellation less than 24 hours before check-in, or not arriving without notice (no-show): no refund.
• Date changes requested at least 24 hours before check-in are free, subject to availability; any price difference is charged or refunded.
• To cancel, use My Bookings in your account or write to booking@bellatrinidad.com. The cancellation time is the moment we receive your request.
• Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 10 business days. The time your bank needs to show the credit is outside our control.

4. Severe weather and events beyond control (force majeure)

• If a hurricane, tropical storm or another event officially declared by the authorities prevents your arrival or interrupts your stay, you may choose a free date change (subject to availability) or a refund of the unused nights.
• If we must cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, you receive a full refund of the nights not provided. In that case our liability is limited to that refund.

5. House rules

• No smoking inside the rooms; smoking is allowed on the terraces.
• No parties or events without our prior permission.
• Only registered guests may stay overnight. Please respect the rest of our guests and our neighbours.

6. Damage

• Guests are responsible for damage they or their visitors cause beyond normal wear and tear.
• We document any damage (photos and the repair or replacement cost) and send it to you before any charge, so you can respond.

7. Travel requirements

• Each guest is responsible for passports, visas, Cuban entry requirements and travel insurance.
• Travellers subject to U.S. jurisdiction are responsible for making sure their trip complies with U.S. regulations on travel to Cuba.

8. Payment disputes

• Please contact us first – most questions are solved quickly. If a chargeback is filed for a stay that was used, or cancelled outside the refund period, we will send the payment provider the booking records and these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of personal belongings, accidents outside the property, or interruptions of public services (electricity, water, internet) beyond our control, and our total liability for a booking is limited to the amount paid for it.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law and disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
• Before going to court, both sides agree to try to solve any dispute in good faith for 30 days after written notice to booking@bellatrinidad.com.
• Any dispute that is not solved this way will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County (Tampa), Florida, and both sides accept their jurisdiction. Small claims may be brought in small claims court. This does not remove any mandatory consumer rights of the country where you live.

11. Other provisions

• If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the rest remains in force.
• We may update these Terms. The version published when you made your booking applies to that booking.
• These Terms are available in English, Spanish and German. If the versions differ, the English version prevails.
